Congratulations to Emma and Alastair who travelled to London over the weekend to compete against the best talent in British Road Running at the London Mini Marathon 2.6k course. Both were on of six athletes chosen to represent the North East in their age categories and should be extremely proud! I know we are!

U12 NEYDL Funetics Report The first ever meet for this new series took place on Friday night, with 3 Team Blyth athletes absolutely smashing their events. Alba won her 600m heat in 2:00.6, whilst Leo recorded a time of 14.5s over 75m, 1.48m in the standing long jump, and 2:16.0 in the 500m. Lucas achieved a 4.05m push throw, and a strong 2:15.5 in the 600m. Well done all! Cumbria School of Hammer Ben Compton smashes his PB with the 5kg shot put - launching it out to 49.98m NESDL Report Several of our U20 & U23 athletes helped our Senior team to a strong finish on Saturday. The depth of quality and range of events covered as extraordinary, and these athletes allow our senior league to battle towards the top of the division year after year. Lilia (200m, Discus, Shot, Javelin), Luke (400m, Javelin, Long Jump), Oliver (100m, 200m, Javelin, Triple Jump), Xara (200m, 800m, Discus, Javelin), Harrison (800m) , Senna (100 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, Javelin) , Georgia (Hammer, Discus, Shot), Saveena (Shot, Javelin), Sadie (Long Jump) Results NEYDL Report Blyth/Alnwick made a fantastic return to Division 1, as we recorded our best ever finish in the history of the NEYDL on Sunday. An incredible 30 Team Blyth athletes challenged themselves across a wide variety of events, including 9 making their NEYDL debuts for the club. Across the day, we took 10 event wins courtesy of Ben, Fearne, Kimi, Sarah, Katy, Faith, Daisy, Alastair and the U16G 4x100 team. It was great to see athletes take on brand new events such as the 200m hurdles, and brilliant team spirit throughout the day. There were a huge amount of PB’s set, and we know this will really kickstart the summer season and we will have even more athletes on track at the next event at home at Whitley Bay! Results Quayside 3k Report A fantastic night for our endurance group at the Quayside 3k! Some fantastic times and great sprint finishes. Two athletes form our T&F squad also opened their outdoors seasons, producing strong performances! Racing in windy conditions at the Kieran Maxwell Memorial Open. Well done all! 💚🤍💚🤍
Results An update on the performances of Team Blyth middle distance superstar Lauren Creaby out in the USA where she is at university. She's had a busy few months, racing over 600, 800 and 1500m. She recently set a new PB and club record at the Clyde Hart Classic in Texas, running a fantastic 4:43.82!
