It was a glittering evening for Decathlete Luke Pichler at last nights (13th Nov) Sport Newcastle annual awards gala at Newcastle Civic Centre. Surrounded by North East sporting royalty, Luke returned to the stage 3 years after winning a rising start award in 2022. This year, Luke was the sole recipient of the highest award available - The Platinum Award.
Luke will receive £1,500 of funding towards his athletics development, and this is testament to his hard work and success over the last few years. A huge well done to Luke, and massive thanks to Sport Newcastle for their continued support.
