Charlotte and Safia both make their debuts at fantastic indoor arena at Sheffield, scoring big hurdles PB's before solid long jump comps. Kimi raced over 60m, before building a really strong long jump competiton to finish with 4.37m for her 2nd best comp over. Hollie began with a sub-8 60m, before recording a long jump PB of 4.96m, and a scorching 300m pb of 43.25s. A note also to Sarah who raced at the November open a couple of weeks ago, setting a time of 20.37 over 150m.
Schools XC @ Woodhorn 3/12 Well done to Theo, Jack, Tom, Eliza, Daisy, Joseph, Maisie & Jamie, who all qualified for the next round of the schools XC! Gateshead Indoor Open 3/12 An exciting Gateshead indoor open on Wednesday night for Team Blyth! 11 PB’s and 3 club records – impressive so early in the winter. Didi is fastest in U15 60m with an =PB 8.42s Ben and coach Nigel go head to head in the 60m, with Ben taking the spoils by 0.02s Charlotte makes her indoor debut in the 60m Hurdles Safia adds 4cm to her high jump PB, and records a fantastic 10.45 on U17 hurdles debut. India clears 1.35m in high jump, and scores big hurdles PB 10.24s Fearne smashes shot PB with 8.91, and takes heat win on U17 hurdles debut. Stephen is just outside his PB in the shot put Senna opens her campaign with hugely encouraging shot put and hurdles performances Abi makes U20 Hurdles debut, setting a new club record of 9.44s Hollie-Anne breaks her own outright club record in 60m with 7.93s Kimi produced a brilliant first 30m, before a stumble stopped her progress in the 60m Faith sets new 60m PB of 8.27m to win heat Alfie produces 6.65m final jump to take long jump win Kandis produces massive 60m PB 8.65s The Harrier League season continued at Wrekenton, with a large Blyth squad once again standing out with a host of fantastic performances.
Annnalisa made her club XC debut in the U11 girls race, whilst in the boys race Alex recorded another top 10 finish, with Bob, Henry and Cormac all well inside the top 50. Liliana and Eliza were our U13 girls representatives, and they both delivered strong runs. There was a fine debut for George in the U13 boys race in 42nd, whilst Oscar was 56th. Maisie produced probably her best XC run of the season to take 35th in the U15 girls race, before Alastair and Jamie stormed through the field from the fast pack in the boys U15 race, with both amongst the fastest runners on the day. Beth and Emma both ran in the U17 Girls race and recorded their best finishes of the season so far. Fantastic! |
