England Athletics Age Group Championships
3 Team Blyth athletes made the trip to Birmingham, looking to make their mark against the best in the UK. Ben Compton produced 45.31m in round 3 of the u15 boys hammer to take a fantastic bronze at his first EA age group Champs. Fearne Bell had qualifying standards in both the hurdles and hammer, and challenged herself by taking part in both events. In the hurdles, she was not quite able to match her usual pace, whilst in the hammer she finished fractionally outside the top 8, but will have learned lots. Katy Pang went in a scintillating U17 hurdles heat, and took 5th place which was not quite enough to make it through to the final. Well done to all three!
