It was a busy weekend of Championship action, with Team Blyth athletes taking home Northern and Scottish medals.
On Saturday in Derby, Sadie Parker took the Northern U17 Long Jump title with an =PB of 5.79, with Amber Wright taking a fine bronze with 5.17m for her first Northern medal. Ben Compton won the silver in the U15 Hammer, also performing well in the 100m and shot put. On Sunday, Abi Huntly took 5th in a very close 80m hurdles final, whilst Sadie was 4th in Javelin and qualified for the 200m final. Meanwhile in Grangemouth at the Scottish national champs, Millie Train took silver in the U20 Triple jump with a best of 10.77m just being pipped for gold in the final round. Meanwhile, our endurance group took a break from usual training to take part in Parkrun on Saturday - fantastic runs from all!
