NORTH EAST YOUTH DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE 2024
Welcome to the homepage for the NEYDL - This is your hub for all the latest news, info, results and everything else
The NEYDL is a fantastic track and field league for young athletes in the U13/U15/U17 Age groups. Blyth have been in a combined team with Alnwick Harriers since the leagues inception over a decade ago. To find out what it is all about, check out the complete history of Blyth in the NEYDL on the link further down the page.
We are in Division 2, and there are 8 teams in the division this year as part of a new structure, with points scored based on results in each event. In each event in each age group we can have TWO scoring athletes, with additional non-scoring athletes permitted (limits in some track and all field events). Spaces in events are shared with our friends at Alnwick Harriers, but we always do our best to accommodate athletes preferred events. There are also 4x100m relays to finish the day. NEW FOR 2024 - Non scoring mixed (Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl) 4x100 relay for all age groups
The emphasis is on learning, development, team spirit and fun. This league can offer a fantastic cornerstone in the development of any young athlete and Team Blyth will offer full support and guidance. There is no charge to take part in the NEYDL, you just need to be a fully paid-up member. We encourage safe participation in events, coaching an be offered for any events to ensure that athletes can participate safely.
So how much does this cost? NOTHING! There are no entry fees, as your membership fee includes full access to the NEYDL league. We try and car share where possible to save on travel cost for the more distant events.

Roles
Officials - We require officials for each event, these include qualified officials and unqualified officials. Officials score points for the team! If anyone can help out with any other tasks, such as setting up club tent, baking sweet treats, assisting on the day etc it would be fantastically appreciated.
Please contact Daniel if you can fill any of these roles.
